I was barely able to run this year. I got hurt two years ago, and I haven’t been the same since then. Again and again, I’ve tried to go back to old habits, but the pain always ends up showing up. Maybe it’s time to seriously look at the issue, something I’ve been avoiding all this time. It seems clear by now that only more rest will not solve it.
But I didn’t want to end the year without some running minutes, so I went for a walk/run with the dog today, and it felt good. Look at the picture I’ve included in this post: isn’t this a gorgeous place to live and get some exercise?
I started talking about a negative, but it’s been a good year in pretty much all aspects of life. Things are never easy, and that hasn’t been an exception, but overall the balance is very positive. I live with the people I love, everybody at home is healthy, and work is good. I am privileged.
Have a happy 2023, you all!
