Tennis Abstract

I love databases, and tennis is my favorite sport, so it will come as no surprise if I say that I could spend hours and hours exploring all that Tennis Abstract has to offer. I also love its design, which is very close to no design at all.

Look at any player, and you can retrieve all their seasons, games, rivals, results, head-to-heads, etc. An example is Boris Becker. His first entire season was in 1984, but he played a previous game against Sandy Mayer in October 1983. Becker won his first professional set, but Mayer (almost at the end of his career) got the game 3-6 6-4 6-4. Do you want to know how many finals Becker played and the results? Here they are. Head-to-head against John McEnroe? Look here. Point-by-point stats? BOOM!

If you love tennis, check it out… at your time’s expense.
